Atlantico Europa is the first to have its core banking in the cloud
Our client Banco Atlantico Europa became the first Portuguese banking institution to move its core banking, developed by Asseco PST, to the cloud. A decision that required, foremost, a spirit of innovation and courage at the decision-making level, which has already proven to deliver several advantages in addition to the financial benefits.
Asseco PST's Core Banking System (CBS) is the solution that supports all critical business processes of a bank, from retail to corporate banking, as well as financial markets, payments, bank support systems, and external reporting.
Using IBM technology, Banco Atlantico Europa has set in motion a digital migration process of its core that allows the bank to harvest the benefits of high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud computing resources.
All without the need for investment in hardware acquisition and with additional benefits. Aside from financial savings, the bank recognizes advantages in terms of security, resilience, agility, and less dependence on technology.
Asseco PST announced at the end of last year that its core banking platform would also be available in a cloud environment for institutions that decide to make this digital transformation transition. The groundwork developed internally was always based on the certainty that the cloud will continue to revolutionize the digital economy and the financial market, with the banking industry unable to ignore the changes and benefits brought by cloud computing.
With the available technology, it was only a matter of time before a client decided to take this transformational step. At Asseco PST, we are proud to be on the right side of digital change and the future!
