Asseco PST: The new identity of EXICTOS
The technological company
By strengthening its connection to the Asseco Group, the Portuguese-speaking technological company will, simultaneously, boost the expansion of its service offering in terms of cutting-edge solutions to new areas.
The choice of the acronym PST (Portuguese Speaking Territories) also has a double meaning. On the one hand, it embodies the new brand with which the company intends to continue to assert itself in all Portuguese-speaking markets where it already operates. On the other hand, it is a tribute to its 30-year history and its origins in Madeira as Promosoft.
The experience and know-how accumulated over three decades make the company a reference in information systems and compel us to be focused on the permanent search for excellence, both in developing new technological products and in providing a wide range of services, both in mature and emerging markets" says Daniel Araújo, CEO of Asseco PST.
In addition to being present in Portugal, Asseco PST has branches in Angola, Mozambique, and Cape Verde. Its other markets (São Tomé and Príncipe, East Timor, Malta, and Namibia) are managed from Portugal, where its operational base is established, taking managers and technicians to the different geographic locations on a regular basis to follow the ongoing projects.
It employs over 400 people, having generated, in 2017, a consolidated turnover of 33.4 million euros. Its customer portfolio includes more than 60 banks, turning Asseco PST into a leading company in the Portuguese-speaking regions.
The Polish multinational acquired a stake in the Portuguese-speaking company in 2015. In addition to the banking sector, the Asseco Group also develops solutions for energy, telecommunications, state-owned, and health services companies. With more than 4,800 R&D specialists in a global universe of 24,000 employees, the group invested more than 129 million euros in research and development in 2017. A know-how from which the Portuguese-speaking brand will now benefit.
Investment in new facilities
Asseco PST's growth plan also prompted the need to relocate the company's facilities in Lisbon, which are now in a new space with nearly 2,200 square meters and approximately 260 employees. The result was the development of a single, functional, and technologically advanced space, with several differentiated areas
This investment in new infrastructures is the third in the last 18 months, following the creation of a development
