Angolan banks discuss challenges of digital transformation

More than 150 staff members and leaders of banks and large Angolan corporations gathered last 24th of January in the Financial city, in Luanda, to discuss digital transformation in the banking sector, an event organised by Asseco PST.

In a crowded hall, the participants were actively discussing the central questions of modern digital banking, namely new electronic channels, with an increased generalisation of the internet and mobile banking solutions, customer relationship management in a single point and the power of data and its transformation into relevant bank information.

During the meeting, participants could visit the area called “Digital Experience,” set up by Asseco PST, and better get to know several technological solutions which the company developed for its bank clients in the Angolan market. Out of 60 banks currently in the Asseco PST client portfolio, 23 mark their active presence in this African market.

The strong adhesion proves that the development of digital culture is still the main concern for banks. At the time when the Angolan banking sector is undergoing an accelerated transformation, with the generalisation of high-end technology solutions which allow boosting the relationship between financial institutions and their clients
