DigiBank Summit leads us to participate in emerging markets

In the past two months, Asseco has actively participated in two exclusive conferences aimed at the banking community in emerging markets. The initiative, named DigiBank Summit, has traveled through various African and Asian cities, featuring speakers from diverse backgrounds.

Asseco's participation was based on the invitation to share our vision and experience on the ongoing global banking transformation process. Alongside this, we consistently presented some of our technological solutions for the financial sector, while also seizing the opportunity to stay attuned to new challenges and understand the unique dynamics of markets that Asseco does not typically engage with on a daily basis.

The first of these participations took place in Johannesburg on April 30th. The South African banking sector is currently undergoing a period of rapid change, with new digital operators driving unprecedented levels of innovation and challenging the status quo. Meanwhile, established banks are implementing large-scale transformation programs to enhance customer experience and automate business processes.

In this context, we were represented by the Director of Business Development for International Markets from Asseco Poland. This expert had previously been with Asseco PST in Cape Verde, Angola, and Mozambique during the trilogy of events promoted within the Lusophone universe. Additionally, our participation included the Asseco PST sales team, led by our Head of Sales, Pedro Lopes.

In June, on the 11th, attention shifted to Nairobi. As one of Africa's most dynamic economies, Kenya continues to lead the way in digital banking transformation. There, we were represented by Asseco PST's CEO, Daniel Araújo, who spoke alongside four other guests in a panel titled “Navigating the Currents – The Future of Digital Banking.” Furthermore, two other representatives from our counterpart, Asseco Poland, attended the conference.

With top speakers from around the world and a plethora of digital banking leaders, the DigiBank Summit conference series was the best place for us to connect, share, and innovate.
