Asseco Academy concludes its edition in Mozambique and prepares new training in Angola

Asseco Academy continues to be an indelible mark for human capital development in an area as demanding as technology training applied to the financial sector. Having completed the 3rd edition of the training program in Mozambique, we are already preparing the 8th edition in Angola. The new program will start in the last quarter.

In Mozambique, the 3rd edition of the Asseco Academy awarded 14 certificates to young graduates from various fields. The common denominator was that they had previously been selected from a group of around a thousand candidates and had successfully completed a 240-hour intensive training program. For eight weeks, they worked on various thematic modules covering the different aspects of the banking business.

The closing ceremony of the professional certification program, entitled PFS Certification Program, was held at the Meliá Maputo Sky Hotel in the Mozambican capital. In the presentation of their final work, the trainees addressed various dynamic topics related to the banking sector in Mozambique. The audience included managers from different banks, including Moza Banco, Millennium BIM, BCI, and others.

Much of the added value of these youths certified by the Asseco Academy lies in the fact that they can immediately start a career in the financial sector, without the need for additional training in the areas included in the training program. The proof is that some of the trainees were immediately recruited by banks, and three were even placed in the Asseco PST office in Mozambique.

With this chapter now concluded, attention is now turning to Angola, where preparations are already underway for the 8th edition of the training program, to be held in Luanda.

The number of vacancies for this edition is 15, and, as in previous editions, the initial number of applicants should be very high. Applications should open very soon - which we will announce on our social networks.

Since the pandemic, the training program has taken place in a hybrid format, with face-to-face and online sessions and a total of eight modules. Trainees are assessed through practical work in each module, regular tests at the end of each one, and the presentation of a final paper. One of the hallmarks of the Asseco Academy that has continued since its creation is that the training is free of charge for all trainees. In other words, all costs are fully covered by Asseco PST.
