Presence at ANGOTIC 2019

Asseco PST was present at ANGOTIC 2019, a large forum and exhibition of information and communication technologies held in Luanda. Several thousand visitors came by this three-day event, which brought together dozens of companies from various technological areas.

The Talatona Convention Centre, on the outskirts of the Angolan capital, was the stage for ANGOTIC 2019 - Angola ICT Forum 2019, held from 18 to 20 June. Asseco PST was present at what is now a global showcase for knowledge sharing and a networking hub for public and private sector leaders and industry players from across the ICT ecosystem in Angola and abroad.

With the motto "Making the Future", the event brought together representatives of public and private companies from the telecommunication, information technology, meteorology and postal services sectors, among others, in a modern 5,000 square metre space. In total, there were 150 speakers and moderators, as well as other start-ups that joined the companies already with a consolidated activity in Angola, as is the case of Asseco PST.

During this three-day event, our company was present in its own stand, where it took the opportunity to showcase its state-of-the-art technological solutions aimed at the digitalisation of the banking business. Out of 60 banks currently in the Asseco PST client portfolio, 23 are actively present in Angola.

ANGOTIC 2019 had the direct involvement of the Angolan Government, being organised by the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies. In the opening session, Angola's vice-president, Bornito de Sousa, highlighted the role of ICT as one of the driving forces to improve the business environment in the country and the public and private services provided to citizens.
