Asseco PST distinguished among the 500 Largest Companies of Madeira

Asseco PST's economic-financial performance was, once again, awarded at a national level. This time we were distinguished in the 32nd edition of the '500 Largest Companies in Madeira', a region where the company has its roots and maintains an important software development centre, with around 150 employees.

Our company came second in the Services sector, in the 'Dimension' criterion. The awards ceremony took place at the Savoy Palace, in Funchal, in front of an audience full of businessmen and active forces of the Madeiran community.

The gala hosted as guest speaker Vice-Admiral Gouveia e Melo, former coordinator of the task force for vaccination in Portugal, who attributed the success of his mission to three cores: the organisational core, the leadership core and the communication core. 'Discipline is not authoritarianism', he stressed more than once. A good example for the whole business community!

The edition of the '500 Largest Companies in Madeira' is an initiative organised by the newspaper Diário de Notícias da Madeira, in collaboration with Previsão, ECAM and PFK-Madconta. Since 2015, it also has the technical collaboration of Informa D&B, the entity responsible for the research, collection and processing of the data of all the companies evaluated. 

Under analysis were the accounts for 2020, a year that took place in a pandemic context of uncertainty that ended up devastating many expectations and investments, but also revealed good examples of overcoming and reinvention. One more reason to congratulate the 62 companies awarded by DN Madeira, including ourselves.
