Best Company with Consolidated Accounts
Asseco PST ended 2019 with another distinction that elevates its island origins. Our company has won the “Best Company with Consolidated Accounts” award at the 30th edition of the “500 Greatest Companies of Madeira”.
The initiative is organised by the newspaper Diário de Notícias da Madeira, in collaboration with three more partners from the Autonomous Region: ECAM, Previsão, and PFK-Madconta. It distinguishes companies based in Madeira annually, according to their economic and financial evolution based on a specific criteria matrix.
In an extensive report about the Great 500, the Madeiran newspaper highlights Asseco PST's exporting activities which began over 20 years ago, and gave rise to its expansion to other regions, with 80% of its revenue now being generated abroad. The newspaper also highlights the company's "important software development centre" in Madeira, and comments on the new doors opened by the full integration of the multinational Asseco group in Europe, particularly in Eastern European markets.
Awards for the winning companies of the various categories were presented on 18 December of last year, in a ceremony held at the Conference Centre of the Casino of Madeira, in Funchal. José Rocha, director and one of the founders of Asseco PST, received the "Best Company with Consolidated Accounts" award, presented by the director of Santander's Azores and Madeira Network, Vítor Calado.
The event was also attended by Mário Centeno, the chairman of Eurogroup and Minister of State and Finance, and by the chairman of the Regional Government, Miguel Albuquerque.
