2022, a year rich in events in various geographies

Two years after the pandemic began, conferences, seminars, conventions, and technology exhibits have returned to the forefront. The number of events is increasing, and Asseco PST maintains a busy participation calendar, with an active presence in various geographies from Portugal to Mozambique, including Cape Verde and Angola.

For Asseco PST, the first half of 2022, which is nearing its end, has been intense in terms of attendance at events. In the upcoming months, this dynamic will continue. Regardless of the format chosen by the respective organizers, we have sought to participate whenever the motto is the challenges and the new dynamics of the financial sector, allied to the factors of innovation, technology, and digital transformation.

In each participation, often assuming the sponsorship position, we seek to share our expertise on the subject under analysis, respond to the challenges posed, and present our solutions. We do so through presentations carefully prepared by those responsible for the various areas that compose our offer of products and services.

Within this framework, we have participated in two events in Cape Verde in March, where the corporate challenges of Governance and the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) concept were discussed. In May, we were represented in Mozambique at Moztech 2022 - Expo Digital, organized over two days in Maputo in a hybrid register: in person, at the multiusos Arena 3D space, and online, through the digital platforms.

In May, but this time in Portugal, we attended the BNPL Forum - Buy Now Pay Later, dedicated to electronic financial transactions, with a debate focused on the growth of this new form of payments and the adaptation of traditional banking to this reality in the e-commerce segment.

In June, we were Platinum Sponsor at the 20th edition of the Smart Payments Congress, held in Lisbon. An event with a full house in which technology, regulation, innovation, and business models were discussed in connection with payment methods, and where we gave a presentation on the approach of the customer loyalty paradigm.

Closing the first semester, our CEO, Daniel Araújo, participated in the Conference on Digital Transition of Public Administration - Governo.AO, in Luanda, which was promoted by the Government of the Republic of Angola. An event that brought together Angolan and international personalities, public and private sector leaders, and representatives of the entire ICT ecosystem, with the purpose of exchanging experiences and presenting proposals and solutions for the digital transition in Angola. Daniel Araújo was the guest speaker in two panels of this remarkable conference.

In the 2nd half of the year, we will be talking to the Angolan market once again at an event focused on ESG and the gains made by financial institutions with a strong ESG profile. We will return to Cape Verde and Cidade da Praia for the inauguration of the Technology Park. Another major event with three days of conferences, in which we will have a company stand for public contact and be represented by our Data & Analytics team.

In all these participations, we intend to leverage what we believe we have best: proximity to the Client and the ability to perform.
