Strong presence at key events: Doing Business Angola and SmartPayments Congress
At Asseco PST, we are used to taking part in major forums for debate, alongside participants and guests from various geographies and sectors. In June, we attended both the Doing Business Angola event, held in Lisbon and focused on the key challenges facing Angola’s economy, and the 23rd edition of the SmartPayments Congress, which took place in Oeiras.
Organized by Jornal Económico and Forbes África Lusófona, the 3rd edition of Doing Business Angola was held at the Ritz Hotel in Lisbon, bringing together public decision-makers, business leaders, managers and investors for a close look at the ongoing transformations in Angola’s economy and the opportunities for cooperation with Portugal.
Asseco PST was a partner of the event, with our CEO, Daniel Araújo, and Executive Board Member, José Nunes, in attendance, alongside members of our sales team. Throughout the day, there were many conversations about Angola’s economic potential and its strategic role as a gateway to the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
The event featured a packed agenda of topics, including the business environment, the privatization program, economic financing, the financial market, the oil and gas sector, and the challenges facing the Lusophone world in a changing global context.
At the 23rd edition of the SmartPayments Congress, held at the Lagoas Park Hotel, we were also one of the event’s key partners. The initiative brought together over 200 participants, who had the opportunity to explore the dynamics and future of the financial services and payments sector. Technology, innovation, regulation and business models were among the topics in the spotlight.
On stage, our Executive Board Member, José Nunes, delivered a presentation on “Trends and Challenges in the Digital Transformation of Payments.” Outside the main auditorium, in the exhibition hall, Asseco PST was present throughout the day with a dedicated space and a team on hand to showcase our technology solutions.
In both cases, there was plenty of space and time for networking and meaningful conversations about the digital transformation currently impacting the majority of economic sectors — banking included!
