Cybersecurity has been at the center of multiple events in different geographies

Cybersecurity remains at the top of most managers' concerns. Whether because cyberattacks are increasing continuously or because, in many cases, the effects are devastating. Over the last 12 months, Asseco PST has addressed the issue through its presence at different events and geographies, either as an organizer or as a partner.

A look at the global numbers is enough to understand the problem: in 2022, the number of cyberattacks worldwide increased by 38% compared to the previous year. In the financial sector, for example, weekly attacks increased by 52%.

Asseco PST now offers a range of solutions designed to protect its clients' critical assets and strengthen the defenses of financial organizations.

Recently, we have been putting significant effort into various events dedicated to showcasing the major trends, best practices, and cybersecurity challenges. In all these events, Asseco PST experts have shared their insights on how technology can assist organizations in adapting to these constant threats in an era where data protection and cybersecurity solutions are no longer dispensable.

As such, we were in Angola, as a partner of Axiz, at an event in Talatona (on the outskirts of Luanda) with the theme "Modernize & Secure Your Infrastructure." There, we shared solutions in areas such as infrastructure modernization, security, high availability, business continuity, and hybrid cloud.

In Portugal, we organized an executive breakfast in March, in partnership with IBM, under the theme "Melhorar a Cibersegurança, Sustentabilidade e PowerCloud" ("Enhancing Cybersecurity, Sustainability, and PowerCloud"). The purpose was to assist our clients in understanding IBM and Asseco technologies and transforming them into practical solutions to safeguard the future of their institutions.

In June, we were in Alentejo, attending the Security Summit. An event promoted in Évora by Arrow ECS Portugal in collaboration with IBM and its business partners, including ourselves. Our experts then presented the new evolution of QRadar Suite, a threat detection and response solution designed to unify the security analyst's experience and accelerate the response time in the event of an incident.

In Mozambique, also in June, we talked about cybersecurity and resilience. The event took place in Maputo and was promoted by us in partnership, once again, with IBM. Our IT Infrastructure and Security unit was responsible for the initiative, with presentations by our specialists in the area.

Throughout all these events, we sought to share our knowledge, expertise, solutions, and services that help grow businesses. And always responding affirmatively to the basic question: can technology help organizations prevent and address cyberattacks that are becoming increasingly sophisticated, precise, and constant? Yes, but it is crucial to understand how to deal with daily threats.
