Asseco shines at Forbes África Lusófona Annual Summit in Luanda

Asseco PST played a prominent role at the Forbes África Lusófona Annual Summit 2025, held on 18 November in Luanda. Over an intensive day, leaders, entrepreneurs, and change-makers from Portuguese-speaking countries exchanged ideas on tackling global economic challenges and driving growth and sustainability in Angola’s economy.

The Intercontinental Hotel in Luanda hosted the second edition of the event, which has established itself as a key meeting point for the Lusophone community focused on economic and social transformation. More than a discussion forum, the Annual Summit acts as a platform for action, aiming to build bridges, strengthen networks, and support initiatives that contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable Lusophone future.

The initiative, which sold out and attracted dozens of participants, is organised by the Media Nove publishing group, including the renowned Forbes África Lusófona magazine. The event benefited from multiple sponsors, with Asseco PST standing out as a leading partner.

The programme was split into two segments: the Financial Summit in the morning and the Economy Summit in the afternoon. During the morning session, Pedro Miguel Lopes, Board Member of Asseco PST, delivered a presentation on “Specialisation in Banking Services: Financing and Financial Inclusion”.

He concluded by highlighting several trends that, in his view, are set to expand in Angola: the growing importance of mobile banking as a primary channel rather than a complementary one; the expansion of banking agent models and similar alternatives in suburban areas; and the increasing availability of specialised banking products designed for specific niches and customer segments.
