Asseco Academy in focus at the Agostinho Neto University

As part of the promotion of the Asseco Academy in Angola, the company organized a presentation session at the Agostinho Neto University, in Luanda. In an auditorium full of students and guests, there was no shortage of praise for the training programme and the role played by the Academy.

The initiative of introducing the Asseco Academy to the Angolan academic world took place in September at the Faculty of Economics and Management of what is considered the largest and most influential university in the country. Over a session that lasted until late morning, the presentation relied on the presence of several Agostinho Neto University officials, around 80 students and other guests.

During the session, the participants had the opportunity of learning how the recruitment process works and how applicants who wish to take part in the Asseco Academy courses are selected. On the other hand, the Academy officials launched the fifth edition of its training programme, scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.

The initiative was widely applauded by students and members of the university who recognised the difficulties that often exist in accessing the local job market, especially in the banking sector. In this context, the Asseco Academy acts as an open door for recent graduates to enter the professional world with enhanced banking skills.

Launched in Angola in January 2018, and now operating also in Mozambique, the Asseco Academy has already trained dozens of recent graduates in both countries. From the outset, the Academy has pursued its mission of contributing to the development of human capital in the markets where it operates, by certifying information technology professionals who are working in the financial sector.

As a result of the initiative carried out in Luanda, Asseco PST was invited by the Agostinho Neto University to participate in the next Entrepreneurship Fair, an event ran by this academic institution which is due to be held soon.
